Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using K-Academia you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who can use K-Academia

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you. Schools and teachers who invite students under 16 are responsible for obtaining that consent.
• Teachers who use K-Academia with a school confirm they are allowed to do so on the school's behalf.

3. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us through the contact form if you think your account has been used without your permission.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

4. Content you upload

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to operate the service for you and the members of your classes — including watermarking documents for students and, unless the teacher turns it off for a class, indexing documents for the AI tutor.

You confirm you have the rights to anything you upload, and that sharing it with your class does not infringe anyone's copyright or other rights.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use K-Academia to:

• harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or post sexual, violent or hateful content;
• upload malware or content you do not have the right to share;
• share course material outside the class it was provided for, or remove watermarks;
• cheat on quizzes or assignments, or help others do so;
• try to access accounts, classes or data that are not yours, probe or overload the service, or get around its limits;
• use the AI tutor to produce content that breaks these rules.

6. Teachers

• Teachers are responsible for their classes: the material they share, the students they admit, and moderating their class discussion.
• Grades and feedback given in K-Academia are the teacher's, not ours.

7. Paid plans

• Students use K-Academia for free. Teachers can use a free plan with limits, or subscribe to a paid plan.
• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time in Settings → Billing; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices include or exclude tax as shown at checkout.

8. AI features

AI answers and generated questions can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before relying on them; teachers should review generated questions before publishing a quiz.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put other users or the service at risk. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You can stop using K-Academia and delete your account at any time.

10. Availability and liability

We work to keep K-Academia available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. Keep your own copies of important material.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app and ask you to accept the new version before continuing.
